Connect Claude or ChatGPT to your Shopify store, and the marketing around it.

Yes, Claude and ChatGPT can work on a Shopify store through a connector. Shopify makes its own, and for store-only work that may be all you need. Acrium is one connector for the store (products, discounts, photos, orders, reports, inventory and SKU sync) plus posting to nine social platforms, Google Ads and, on Connect + Voice, a phone line. By default, new discounts and deletes wait for your OK.

Try free for 14 days. No card needed. Then Connect is $9.99/month; Connect + Voice, with phone calls, is $29.99/month. Cancel any time.

What your AI can do in your store

  • Products: list them, add one (with a SKU), change its title, description and price, publish or unpublish it, list it on the sales channel, or delete it.
  • Photos: attach photos from your Acrium media library, change alt text, delete images.
  • Discounts: create a percent-off code for every product (at most 25 percent off), change what a price rule takes off, change a code's text, delete codes and price rules.
  • Orders and reports: the most recent paid orders, and Shopify's saved reports where your Shopify plan allows them.
  • Inventory and SKU sync: Acrium keeps its own inventory list (SKUs, quantities, low-stock levels). Each new Shopify order is matched to it by SKU, line items that don't match are flagged, and new orders and low stock show up in the attention queue your AI reads. SKU aliases let another code, like a supplier's, point at the same item.
  • The rest of the business: post and schedule to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X, Pinterest, Threads, LinkedIn and Bluesky, run Google Ads, and, on Connect + Voice, make and answer phone calls.

What waits for you, and what doesn't.

Plenty of merchants say price, discount and stock changes should stay with a person. By default, creating a discount, changing what a price rule takes off, and deleting products, photos, discount codes or price rules wait for your approval in the Acrium dashboard, whichever AI asked. You can loosen that per action type in the Approval Gate settings. Editing a product's title, description or price doesn't wait, so if product edits should stay with you, leave the Manage inventory permission off when you connect your AI (that also stops its inventory changes).

What it doesn't do.

It doesn't change stock levels in Shopify, and it doesn't reorder or restock products. Discounts are percent-off codes on every product; anything fancier, set up in Shopify.

Shopify's own options, and when Acrium makes sense

  • Shopify's connector apps and Sidekick: Shopify makes its own connector apps for Claude and ChatGPT, and Sidekick is the assistant built into the Shopify admin. If the store is the only thing you want your AI to touch, start there.
  • Acrium: for when you want one connection for the store and the marketing around it. The same chat can add a product, post it to Instagram and Pinterest, and draft a Google Ads campaign for it, with one sign-in and one set of permissions. It also suits you if you want new discounts and deletes held for your OK by default.

How to connect

Three steps, about five minutes.

  1. Start the free trial

Make an account at /setup. 14 days of Connect, no card.

  2. Connect Shopify

In the Acrium dashboard, sign in to your Shopify store. Add your social accounts and Google Ads too, if you want your AI to market what you sell.

  3. Add Acrium to your AI

Add https://acriumautomated.com/mcp as a custom connector in Claude or ChatGPT, sign in, and pick the permissions it gets.

Things to ask your AI

  • “Add our lavender candle at $24 with SKU CANDLE-LAV, attach the photo from the Photos folder, then post it to Instagram and Pinterest.”
  • “Make a 15 percent off code, SPRING15. I'll approve it in Acrium.”
  • “Which of this week's Shopify orders didn't match anything in inventory, and what's running low?”

Straight answers.

Anything else? Email [email protected] and the founder answers. Posting is covered in the Claude and ChatGPT social media guides.

Is there an official Shopify connector for Claude or ChatGPT?

Yes. Shopify makes its own connector apps for Claude and ChatGPT, and Sidekick is built into the Shopify admin. Acrium isn't made by Shopify. It's a separate connector that covers the store and also posting, Google Ads and phone calls.

Can my AI change prices or discounts without asking?

Some of it, and it's worth knowing which. By default, creating a discount, changing what a price rule takes off, and deleting products, photos, discount codes or price rules wait for your approval in the Acrium dashboard, unless you turn that off in the Approval Gate settings. Editing a product's title, description or price doesn't wait. If product edits should stay with you, leave the Manage inventory permission off when you connect your AI. Discounts are capped at 25 percent off.

Does it sync stock levels with Shopify?

Not in the sense of changing Shopify's stock. Acrium keeps its own inventory list, matches each new Shopify order to it by SKU, flags line items it can't match, and tells your AI about new orders and low stock through the attention queue. It doesn't change stock levels in Shopify, and it doesn't reorder or restock products.

Which AI apps work?

Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Meta AI, Cursor and Claude Code. Claude's free plan allows one custom connector. For ChatGPT, OpenAI currently lists full write access through custom connectors for Business, Enterprise and Edu.

Is anyone using it yet?

Barely, and we'd rather say so. Acrium is new and in early access. Its founder has run his own software business on it since summer 2026, and there are no customer reviews or case studies yet.
