How to connect Claude to Google Ads
Short answer: You need a Google Ads account, an Acrium account (free for 14 days, no card) and Claude on any plan, including free. It takes about five minutes. Add Acrium as a custom connector in Claude, sign in, connect Google Ads, then ask.

Add Acrium to Claude
In Claude, go to Customize > Connectors, click + Add, then Add custom connector. Name it Acrium, paste
https://acriumautomated.com/mcpas the URL, click Continue, then Add. In a chat, switch Acrium on under + > Connectors. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds it once under Organization settings > Connectors, then you click Connect. The Claude setup guide shows each click. -
Sign in to Acrium
Claude opens an Acrium sign-in. New here? Make an account in the same window: your first workspace gets Connect free for 14 days, no card. Then pick the workspace it may use and the permissions it gets. It never does more than you could.

Connect Google Ads in Acrium
In the Acrium dashboard, sign in to the Google account that owns your Google Ads account. Ad spend is billed by Google to that account, not by Acrium.

What Claude can do in Google Ads
- Build: create campaigns, ad groups, search ads, display ads and keywords.
- Target: set geo targeting.
- Read: campaign stats.
- Control: pause or enable campaigns. Pausing never waits.
What it can't do, or won't without you
- By default, anything that can start or raise ad spend waits for your approval in the Acrium dashboard, whichever AI asked. You can switch that hold off in the Approval Gate settings.
- Google Ads only. It doesn't run Meta (Facebook or Instagram) ads or TikTok ads.
- Acrium doesn't pay for ads. Google bills your own Google Ads account.
Which Claude plans work
- Free: works. Anthropic allows one custom connector on the free plan, and Acrium only needs one. If you already use your one slot for something else, you'd have to swap.
- Pro, Max: works. You add the connector yourself.
- Team, Enterprise: works, but an owner (or, on Enterprise, someone with the right admin role) has to add the connector for the organization first. Each person then signs in on their own.

Can Claude spend my money on ads without asking?
Not by default. Anything that can start or raise ad spend waits for your approval in the Acrium dashboard unless you turn that hold off in the Approval Gate settings. Pausing a campaign never waits.
Can it run Facebook, Instagram or TikTok ads?
No. Acrium works with Google Ads only. It can post to Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, but not run ads there.
Do I need a paid Claude plan?
No. Anthropic allows one custom connector on Claude's free plan, and Acrium only needs one. Pro and Max work too. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds the connector for the organization, then each person signs in.
